In August 2008, we started a 3-part series of talks on Corporate Governance for business partners in the Corporate Finance community. Covering discussions and analysis of local case studies, the talks serve to explore a wide spectrum of issues including General Director's Duties, Shareholder Activism and upcoming developments in the local corporate governance arena
Presented by KhattarWong's Managing Partner, Tan Chong Huat, the participants were given an overview on the evolution of Corporate Governance throughout the years. He had also highlighted on the growing need for companies to stay abreast of the fast-changing dynamics of the corporate market and remain relevant
KW-SCCA Lunch Seminar Series
KhattarWong has supported SCCA’s Lunch Seminars by hosting two of the talks in 2008. Our Corporate Partner Ch’ng Li-Ling shared insights on Catalist Listing Rules, while Tax Department Head Leon Kwong Wing brought attendees through some case studies concerning the issue of Withholding Tax in Singapore.
