Criminal Litigation Print

The Criminal Litigation Department offers advice and acts for clients in high-profile cases involving criminal intimidation, drug offences, extortion, kidnapping, manslaughter, murder and robbery, and people detained without trial under the Internal Security Act or the Criminal Law (Temporary Provisions) Act. We also offer advice on a wide spectrum of matters such as:

  • Assisting in the lodging of complaints in the Magistrate’s Courts.
  • Corruption.
  • Offences under the Employment Act and Immigration Act relating to the harbouring and employment of foreign workers.
  • Offences under the Road Traffic Act.
  • Prosecution and defence of professionals in disciplinary proceedings.
  • Traffic offences.
  • White collar offences under the Companies Act, Securities and Futures Act, Financial Advisor’s Act, etc.

The department is also well versed in work relating to white-collar crime in the High Court as well as the Subordinate Courts of Singapore. They work closely with surgeons, reconstruction engineers, doctors, psychiatrists and other specialists and experts in cases involving complex technical issues of accident reconstruction and contest of expert engineering / medical/ psychiatric opinions.
